oeh tell me o3o
Also; de rest so far;
"Riot, I-" she started, talking quickly. "I can explain.."
"Oh really?" Riot snapped, his voice low, growling, like a furious animal. "Well go ahead. Fucking explain. Explain why you just turned your back on me. Why? Did you think I wouldn't understand? If that's so, you should've known better than that. Am I that disposeable to you Chloe?"
He just stared at her, and she stared back.
"It wasn't like I had a choice, he had taken my life from me!" she sounded awefully defensive.
"Jesus Christ, I know that fucker raped you, I know he made a bloody whore out of you," he said, ignoring the way she cringed under those very words that must have been tearing open old wounds.
The grip around the fabric of her coat tightened and Riot's knuckles where nearly white now.
"But fuck, Chloe, how does that leave you with no way of letting me know that you were turning your back on me?"
No, he wasn't able to keep the hurt out of his voice, no matter how hard he tried.
She didn't answer at first. Without even deciding to do it, Riot pushed her harder against the rough rocks behind her. She let out a light squeal and his grip loosened a little. Still the hot anger flowed through him, masking the hurt and insecurity.
"I just wanted to.. to be away from this all.. Sorry Riot."
She seemed just about being sorry, but for Riot it wasn't enough. Not that he knew what would be enough; he had no idea, mostly because he doubted there even was a way he could forgive her. It was too late. Maybe that, if he listened to his heart, he did want to forgive her, but that would never become clear, because most of all Riot wasn't about to give her any chance of hurting him again.
He looked at her, his blue eyes piercing hers.
"Riot?"
He merely raised his eyebrows questioningly.
"Is it true.. what I've heard.. about Richard? Did you really.." She didn't finish that sentence. She didn't even need to. She did not need to, because the look on the boy's face had allready given away the answer.
"Yes," he said needlessly in a downright cold tone of voice.
"Want to know why?"
She nodded, shaking a little to wich Riot didn't pay attention; he had no time for her endless self-pity.
"It was because back then, I still cared about you. I was disgusted by the things Pasqual told me. Wanted revenge. Bashed the guy's teeth in. Nearly made him swallow a knife. I eventually slit his throat." He looked at the ground. He heard her rapid breathing and her fear of him, wich underlined the fact that they had become strangers to one another in a way, disgusted him.
"But you know what?" he said, looking up again. In her eyes, tears shimmered. Tears that were hard to define for a boy so confused.
"What?" her voice was barely any more than a whisper.
"It didn't bring you back," Riot said, his voice lower than ever and with hearable anger and anguish in it. "You were in town, from what Pasqual told me, but even as you returned, and clearly heard about all this, you didn't once contact me. And then you were gone, Again. Without a bloody trace. Again."
It didn't happen very often that Riot spoke this much, expressed himself this much. But it had to be said. He had to keep talking, in order to not lose his temper.
"I tried but.."
"But wha- No.. No, I don't even want to hear it.." Riot shook his head. A single tear rolled down Chloe's cheek. "I don't want to hear your excuses. I understand what you must've gone through, but clearly, you don't understand much of others."
He let her go.
"This time I could control myself, but know that we are no longer friends, nor will we ever be again," he said, between clenched teeth. "I don't ever want to see you again. You've had your chances, didn't take any of them-"
"But Riot! I-"
"Shut up you little shit. Like I said; you had your chances and you threw it away. In your misery and self-pity, not once did you think it might be an idea to check up on the people that thought they were your friends. Fuck you, Chloe. Fuck you."
His hands were clenched into fists and he turned around to walk away, before he woul lose control.
