Alaska is geboren in Atlantic City. Over haar vorige leven wilt ze eigenlijk vrij weinig kwijt, ze wilt niet eens de naam geven die ze als jongen heeft gekregen van haar ouders. Met haar ouders heeft Alaska ook geen contact meer. Op zestienjarige leeftijd is ze vanuit Atlantic City verhuist naar deze plek, om een nieuwe start te maken. Alaska heeft veel vrienden in het uitgaansleven en treedt ook regelmatig zelf op als drag queen. Het is inmiddels zo ver, dat Alaska bijna altijd in drag te vinden is en nog maar zelden in gewone herenkleding. Ze stelt zich ook aan iedereen voor als Alaska Thunderfuck. Wat je ook over haar moet weten, is dat ze een partygirl is: ze heeft een serieuze kant, maar stopt deze diep weg, omdat ze de verantwoordelijkheden van het echte leven niet aan kan.
